Jesus came as the Messiah 2000 years ago, but the Messianic mission was not fulfilled for a variety of reasons, mostly because those who were prepared to receive and believe in him did not. So in this age, Rev. Sun Myung Moon has been called on by Jesus to complete the work that Jesus left unfinished, to eradicate evil and build God's sovereignty on the Earth. > I notes you quoted from a number of different religious sources. The teachings are more in agreement than they are in disagreement. That is one of the great contributions of the World Scripture. My eyes, ears and heart are always open to the truth and I earnestly pray daily to God to guide me. You have made a decision that almost everything the Unification Church stands for is wrong. Somehow, if you do that, you most certainly oppose scripture. Do you oppose chastity before marriage, fidelity within marriage, putting God first in our lives, putting the public purpose before the private purpose, tithing one tenth of all we have to God, serving the community, raising our children to love God, putting God at the center of our marriage and family, and so on? > Good luck! > SF No, good luck to you. I > pity people like this. You may think that I am asleep because I do not agree with the worldview of the popular culture: "If it feels good, do it." This is the culture of free sex, homosexuality, divorce and abortion on demand, euthanasia, neglect and abuse of the weak, children and elders, the age of denial of the value of life and family, the age of suicide, the age of nihilism. You can keep your nihilistic worldview. I want no part of it. It is the broad road that leads directly to hell, both on this earth and in the next world. Those who have promulgated this worldview, with Bill Clinton being its poster child, value nothing and nobody more highly than their own carnal desires, money, power, greed, authority, yet God can never be found in such a place. No lasting value can be found there. God can only be found in the place of humility, self-sacrifice and self-denial. Only when we recognize that without God, we are nothing and nobody, can we discover the true value and purpose of our lives. I came into this world, not by my will, but by the will of God. I did not have a purpose for my coming here into this life, but God had a purpose for me. To be happy, truly happy, you must discover your purpose and mission in life, and pursue it with all your heart and soul. > Sure once i am married i hope that my husband is faithful however if he > chooses to stray then it wasn't true love in the first place. Think about this... I understand very well what is happening in our world. I have a little more life experience than you do, and have seen great joy and great heartbreak in my life. I do not condemn people who do not believe exactly as I do, but it pains me when people have no concept of the value of love, life, marriage, family, God. Such people are blind, deaf and dumb. They have no concept how lost they are. America must wake up, and you must too. We are rapidly heading for an abyss, and you will go partying to your doom unless you open your eyes. Don't cry for me, cry for yourself, and your wasted life. Hi Dan, what I said was: | Yes, you are right, there is only one God, the God of the Bible, the | God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All other gods are false gods. However, | all the monotheistic religions, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, they all | serve the same one true God. That was my point. I meant that there is ONLY ONE GOD, as in, "one God, multiple interfaces" of the apocryphal Bill Gates religion. I did not mean to imply that the faith of other religions is invalid. I was emphasizing the oneness of God who is the Ultimate Reality. In a circle of people, each person looking inwards, each sees the center, but each is facing a different direction. Likewise, each religion faces the same God but from a different direction. In religions which do not believe in the One God, they still face Him but do not necessarily acknowledge Him. > The spirit of the World Scriptures project, which Damian posts here daily, > is ample evidence of this.
